eLink and JWAX project invited and join formal OpenAJAX Alliance (www.openajax.org). The OpenAJAX Alliance is comprised of leading companies such as IBM,  Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Adobe, Tibco, Sun and many more to establish working groups and interoperability for Web 2.0 and AJAX standards. The goal is to establish a common set of standards and frameworks to allow solutions from vendors and open source to work together.

AJAX and Web 2.0 are new technologies to allow browsers to behave more like desktop applications and provide a rich user experience. eLink's JWAX is a component based event driven framework modeled loosely after Java Swing. It allows development like Swing applications while allowing the output to be rendered on the fly based on the target browser. JWAX is an eLink eWorks Research project.
